DJ/producer Sasha offers a combination of remixes and re-creations on "Involver," due June 22 via Global Underground. The 10-track set sports modified versions of tracks like UNKLE's "In a State" and "What Are You to Me?," Felix Da Housecat's "Watching Cars Go By" and Spooky's "Belong."

"Its all great music, but with my own interpretation," Sasha says. "Things like the Youngsters and Spooky are tracks that I've been playing for two or three years. I'm presenting them back out into the world again in my own way which is exactly what DJs always talk about doing."

"Involver" is the follow-up to Sasha's 2002 debut artist album, "Airdrawndagger," which bowed at No. 5 on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart and the Heatseekers tally. Sasha has lined up a nine-date U.S. DJ tour in support of the set, beginning June 17 in Chicago.

gotta say that I've never been a huge fan of sasha as a DJ. digweed was always darker and more expansive.

but MAN! airdrawndagger is just SO GOOD. it's easily one of my favorites of the last year. it's one of those rare albums that is a complete listen. and it's not beat matched or a DJ set. it's just a bunch of really great tracks strung together with a theme that works. and the beats are sick!
